Wszyscy czekają na nowe urządzenia BlackBerry, nowy OS i nową przeglądarkę, a nikt nie wspomniał nawet o tym, że byłby ciekawy, czy wraz z premierą OS 6.0 nie pojawi się na rynku nowy Desktop Manager. Dzisiaj możemy już udzielić odpowiedzi (i nawet poprzeć ją obrazkiem) – tak, będzie nowy Desktop Mager w wersji 6.0 i zostanie wydany wraz z OS 6.0!
Jakie będą różnice? Na pierwszy rzut oka widać, że RIM uznał Desktop Managera w wersji dla komputerów Apple za atrakcyjniejszego wizualnie i w tym właśnie kierunku zmierza jego PC-towy odpowiednik. Czy to dobrze, czy źle – każdy oceni już według własnych gustów. Nie wiemy niestety, czy wprowadzone zostaną znaczące zmiany w samej funkcjonalności, ponieważ na zrzucie ekranu, którym dysponujemy, z ciekawy rzeczy można odnotować tylko wyświetlanie na ekranie głównym stanu pamięci urządzenia, a także aktualnej wersji oprogramowania wraz z sugerowaną aktualizacją i jej wersją. Możliwość zarządzania np. kontaktami i kalendarzem bez dodatkowych programów byłaby całkiem miła, ale chyba nie ma co na to liczyć…
Od kiedy będziemy mogli cieszyć się nowym Desktop Managerem i wszystkim, co zostanie wydane ‘w okolicach’? Dokładnie powiedzieć nie możemy (bo i pewnie się nie da), ale możemy Was zapewnić, że na 90% możecie spokojnie jechać na wakacje i nie zabierać ze sobą laptopów
