Przedstawiciele BlackBerry oficjalnie ogłosili dziś nawiązanie współpracy z firmą Trend Micro Incorporated, mającej na celu rozszerzenie dotychczasowych form zabezpieczeń oferowanych użytkownikom smartfonów pracujących pod kontrolą systemu operacyjnego BlackBerry.

Do tego celu wykorzystanie zostanie autorskie rozwiązanie Trend Micro™ Mobile Application Reputation Service, pozwalające szczegółowo analizować bezpieczeństwo zewnętrznych aplikacji, zapobiegając tym samym instalacji oprogramowania szkodliwego lub będącego potencjalnym zagrożeniem dla danych użytkownika. Trend Micro Mobile Application Reputation Service w połączeniu ze zdalną bazą danych, będzie od teraz skanował wszystkie aplikacje zgłoszone do tej pory oraz w przyszłości do sklepu internetowego BlackBerry World.

Do tej pory za pomocą Trend Micro Mobile Application Reputation Service przetestowano skutecznie ponad 2 000 000 aplikacji mobilnych.
